I love a good pun.
Another fictitious company, but this time the goal was to create a brand for a food truck that did not specifically cater to any one particular style of cuisine other than what could be made in the confines of the truck.
From the get-go my mind made the connection from “food truck” to “hot wheels”, because who doesn’t like a hot meal? Not to mention some of my earliest childhood memories were of playing with those little die-cast cars – making them race around and fly through tracks placed all over the house.
Taking a cue from Hot Wheels’ bold, outlandish styling I used similar elements for both the logo and food truck design. That styling gets reflected onto the packaging so that customers instantly make the visual connection to the colors of the truck.
And why wheelie? Imagine how awesome a food truck would need to be in order to pop one!
